Situated in the heart of the High Street, The Famous Star Hotel offers an excellent base for a range of guests, from holidaying families to travelling workers.
The building itself dates back to the late 1700’s and found its fame as the World’s Narrowest Hotel as mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records.
At only 20ft wide and 162ft long, the Famous Star Hotel has plenty to offer including eight recently refurbished rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms; two bars offering a large selection of drinks to suit all tastes; and a cosy restaurant offering a wide range of traditional homemade meals.

Moffat is a beautiful Scottish town near the Southern Upland Way, a mere 2 miles from Junction 15 of the M74 and only 30 minutes from the Scotland/England border. The town is also easily reached from Scotland’s two main cities, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Moffat and the surrounding areas offer lots to see and do, ranging from adventurous hill walks and sight seeing at Grey Mare’s Tail, to swinging a club at the Moffat Golf Club. Other local activities include fly fishing, shopping for locally sourced gifts/produce and visiting Moffat’s very own museum to explore the history of this delightful town.
